Sheetrock 544822 First Coat Primer, Off-white, 5 Gallons

Sheetrock® First Coat™ Primer is a specialized primer designed for preparing new, interior gypsum panel walls and ceilings. This primer minimizes texture variations and equalizes porosity between the joint and the field of the board, ensuring a uniform finish that accepts paint and texture consistently. It solves the common problem of joint banding and "photographing," where seams and tape joints show through the final paint application due to uneven porosity.

This off-white primer can also be intermixed with wall and ceiling spray textures to enhance hardness, bond, and whiteness, making it a versatile choice for drywall finishing projects. Whether you're preparing a room for painting or applying textured finishes, this formula provides the foundation for professional results.

Features and Benefits

• Minimizes Joint Banding: Reduces the visibility of seams and tape joints by equalizing porosity across the entire wall surface, ensuring consistent texture and paint appearance.

• Multiple Application Methods: Applies easily with brush, roller, airless spray, or conventional spray equipment, giving you flexibility based on project needs and personal preference.
